About Monk's Bridge, Cumbria

A single span stone bridge crosses Friar Gill in the Calder Valley above Calder Abbey. Known as Monk's Bridge it was built by the monks of the Abbey which was dissolved in 1536.

By Road: By footpath up the Calder valley from Calder Bridge.
