About Whitchurch Gate Toll House, Hants.

It was built for the Winchester to Newtown River Turnpike Trust in the 19th century in the form of a lodge house with angular front. It has two-storeys on an octagonal floor plan, a pyramidal roof, and walls mainly of render. It is roofed in slate, with square headed windows with tracery. There is an open front veranda with a square headed doorway with supported overhanging eaves.

It is listed Grade II.

On the London Road, B3400, on the east side of Whitchurch.
