Visit websiteIn 1934 the Worcestershire Flying School opened for flying training at Throckmorton near Pershore. Tiger Moths were employed.
It was taken over by the RAF during World War II mainly for training purposes but closed in 1978, since when it has only been used for destroying cattle suffering from foot and mouth disease.
The control tower survives.
On Long Lane, an extension of Throckmorton Road, off the A44 north of Pershore.
