This packhorse bridge lies in the village of Wycoller near the Lancashire/Yorkshire border, on the edge of Bronte Country. The exclusion of cars from the village and the attractive appearance of the many preserved old buildings creates a unique feeling of tranquillity.
The bridge is part of Wycoller Country Park, hard by Wycoller Hall which is said to have been Charlotte Brontes inspiration for 'Fearndean Manor' in her novel Jane Eyre.
