What we do
Welcome to the World's Largest Dedicated Helicopter Museum. The British helicopter manufacturing industry is a very long history and has long been associated with such famous designers as: J. G. Weir, C. G. Pullin, J. Shapiro and Raol Hafner, with the latter's earliest helicopter to fly on display in the museum collection. The Helicopter Museum has over 100 helicopters in the collection with the ones on display to the public being housed in the main display building. You will see the Queen's Royal Flight, Bell UH-1H 'Huey', the Helicopter World Speed Record Holder, Autogyros, Russian Hind Gunship and Search and Rescue Helicopters. Throughout the year the museum hosts a number of exciting events including Air Experience Flights which can be booked on line or directly with the museum and Open Cockpit days which offer an opportunity to learn more about how a helicopter flies while you are seated in the cockpit.
