Neil Gough - 1915 Burrell Steam Wagon

Charles Burrell & Sons did not make many steam wagons – only 113 in total and this is now the only one that is complete.  Great pains were taken by Neil to ensure the restoration from a few original parts and a boiler was 100% authentic. All the original parts sourced are from the original wagon which was scrapped in 1931. Even the owner’s plates are original.

Neil Gough is also awarded the Sir Peter Allen Award.  Sir Peter Allen was the particularly influential first president of the National Transport Trust and the award in his name is generally made for the restoration of a road steam vehicle.
